Walvis Bay is Namibia’s largest commercial port, located half way down the coast of Namibia, with direct access to major shipping routes. It is a natural gateway for international trade. Approximately 3,000 vessels call to Walvis Bay each year, handling around 5 million tonnes of cargo. Not all cargo is destined to stay in Namibia of course; many vehicles are then driven or transported to Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
We offer monthly sailings to Walvis Bay for all sized vehicles, transit times quay to quay are 15-18 days. If you require a vehicle to be shipped as soon as possible we offer a more regular service however there would be an additional charge.

All above rates include all UK documentation, UK handling fees and shipment from Sheerness to Walvis Bay via a roll on/roll off service. If you have an agent that you would like to use, please provide us with their details upon booking, if you require one – we can appoint Namibia Freight Services to be your agent, using their services will allow you to receive 7 days free storage as long as you book your shipment with us.
An alternative method of shipping your vehicle would be to ship it inside a container; depending on the size of the vehicle you can ship your vehicle inside a 20FT, 40FT or even a 40FT high cube container. You vehicle will be driven into the container and secured down by straps and chocks; this method of shipping allows you to load the vehicle with personal effects at no additional charge. Once the vehicle is secure, the container is locked and sealed with a unique seal number. Shipping a loaded vehicle by container offers better security then loaded a vehicle travelling by RORO.

When your vehicle arrives in Walvis Bay, your agent will arrange clearance for you. If you are using our agent then they will arrange clearance, police clearance, road bond, temporary road plates and onward delivery by driver or by transporter to Plumtree border or to Gaborone to a bonded warehouse, if required.
