Shipping your car overseas may not cost as much as you think, with a vast amount of large specialist vessels carrying thousands of vehicles every week; import and export of vehicles is a big industry. With many shipping lines offering some great rates, picking the right one with the best price is important keeping in mind that the cheapest service is not always the best.

For an up to date cost to ship your car overseas simply fill in our online quote form, all our rates are valid for 30 days; if you book with us within this time we will honour our rates. All car shipping costs are based on the volume or the height of the vehicle for example a saloon rate may be based on a height of 1.6 meters and a 4 x 4 will be based on a height of 2.0 meters or 18 cubic meters.
When estimating how much it’s going to cost you to ship your car overseas, remember that the cost of shipping is only one factor, you may have to pay additional fees such duties and taxes, customs, arrival fees etc.
An optional service we can offer is a vehicle collection service to collect and delivery your vehicle to the port for you on your behalf. This service is generally not included in your quotation unless requested. Alternatively you could choose to deliver the vehicle to the port yourself, saving on the overall costs. If you do deliver your car to the port then you will require paperwork to be sent to you first such as a shipping note and delivery instructions.
First Base Freight will provide you with these documents via email and can be produced within the hour of booking if required so long as the information you provide in the booking form is correct otherwise you will be denied access at the port of delivery.
