When looking to ship a motorbike overseas you’ll no doubt be wondering if this will be safe and secure when it is being shipped. Shipping lines no longer offer roll on/roll off services for motorcycles by sea, however as a better, more secure alternative we do offer groupage services where we will crate it before it is loaded in to the container at one of our many receiving depots situated right throughout the UK.
We can offer collection by trailer or alternatively, we can arrange for one of our fully insured trade plate drivers to ride and deliver it safely for packing for you any day of the week.

With our many years of experience in the shipping industry, we believe that we offer the most secure method of shipment as we pack your motorcycle or scooter within a tailor made wooden crate, which has been built to the correct specification of your motorcycle. As the crate will be built to the required size, this will mean that we can charge you for the exact volume of the crate.
How much does it cost to ship a motorcycle overseas?
As an example of shipping costs, the crate will cost on average £250.00 to £450.00, this depends on the size of your motorcycle. The smaller the bike the lesser the charge as minimal packing materials are needed to make it. The cost to ship the crate to Australia for example will on average be £445.00, this is based on the crate being 5CBM volume. The only other costs not shown is for the collection and delivery to the receiving depot as this will be different depending on the collection point.
What paperwork is required to ship a motorcycle?
With any shipment of a vehicle overseas we will need to have copies sent to us of the following documentation. This will help us to input the correct information on to the shipping documents such as the bill of lading.
- V5C (or title document) for the vehicle
- Photo page of the consignees passport
- Purchase/Sales Invoice of the vehicle
